Mývatn Road Guesthouse is a small guest house, located by road 87 between Husavik and lake Myvatn, in the north of Iceland. We offer two spacious family rooms, two double rooms and one single room, all at affordable prices.
The guest house is a perfect place to stay over night if you are traveling by car and want to spend one day by lake Mývatn and another day in the beautiful small town of Húsavík, known as the whale watching capital of Europe. Mývatn Road Guesthouse is also a good base if you plan to visit Ásbyrgi canyon, Dettifosss waterfall, Dimmuborgir lava fields and Krafla geothermal power station.
The house was originally built as a private home in 1979, but has been remodeled into a traveler’s guest house. Our guests have free access to wireless Internet and kitchen facilities. In front of the guest house is a good parking space where our guests can park free of charge. A shuttle service is available on request to and from Húsavík.
